for everyone
Started off my morning in fine fashion today. We brought Lyla to the doctor to get a flu shot and on the way out it had started to rain. After getting the kids into the car, I ran around to my side and in my haste to get in out of the rain I opened the door right into my forehead. Gave myself a nice gash.

Since I was already at a doctor's office, I just ran back upstairs and had her doctor clean me up and tape the wound closed. Not that I didn't trust him, but I then went to a dermatologist to make sure that I wasn't going to have a nasty scar. He said my modeling career is probably over, but the scar shouldn't be too bad as long as I don't mess with the wound and keep it closed.

My forehead is starting to pulse, so I think I'll go lie down now. Good times. :-)

Ouch. Not the best place to take a car door, for sure.

Feel better, dude.

Nice job. Paint yourself green and you can be Frankenstein for Halloween!

Adrian is looking great by the way. Hope all is well (other than the injury).

And just when your soccer career was starting to take off. What horrible timing!

Looks like a butterfly landed on your forehead. Get better soon !

but look at the bright side---this gives you the opportunity to be creative and make up a heroic story about how you can jump off tall buldings, stop a bullet with your hand----you know the jackie chan stuff-----and you have a scar to prove it-----looking foreward to seeing you soon

Smooth move indeed. At least it's not as bad as getting broken glass and shoe lodged into your foot. Head over to Oakland and get one of those skull covers (in your case an XL will do). That way you can hide the bandage and pimp out. Or just wear a fitted cap backwards over the bandage.

I wouldn't cover it with any cap. I would milk the scar to the max. I am with your dad here.

Get better Dave.

Hope you feel better soon. At least it happened at a doctors office. BTW, great picture of you and Adrian.

Thanks! I figured I'd include Adrian to offset Frankenhersh.

A big scar can help you scare off any future Lyla suitors. Don't discount it.

would never have happened if you stayed in ny. subway doors have that luxurious soft rubber edge. you would think some automotive engineer would have put an airbag there. then again, with some more practice, most people can open car doors safely.

I hear you are the guy that is helping us guys who used to be with Y360. Thanks loads for your help.
I really enjoyed using 360 and will do to the end. I managed to get (according to Yahoo) over 400k page views on my blog there partly due to their promotion. This place seems to be much more organized.
This is my first visit here so I don't know what happened with your head. Here's wishing a swift healing.

i just read this dave! i guess you just weren't 100% used to the car thing when that happened-coming from NY with no auto for years. practice makes perfect. glad it wasn't too serious. :)

Must run in the family because Tracy did the exact same thing to herself the other day. Fortunately, hers isn't as bad and shouldn't leave a scar.
