for everyone
I'd like to play around with some video conferencing. Maybe let the grandparents video chat with Lyla. On CNET, the webcam of choice seems to be the Logitech QuickCam Pro 4000 or 5000, although none of them really get stellar reviews.

Anyone have any experience with them?

I've had a Logitech QuickCam before - an earlier model - and never had any problems with it - it was a cheaper version, but still worked well and the software was easy to use.

We have a QuickCam Pro 4000 and the wife uses it and Windows Messenger to 'video conference' with the Battle-Axe (mother-in-law).

It works pretty well in my opinion.

I'd recommend either of the above! Let's just get that first "Hi Nana" going!

definitely saw a lot of good mention about QC pro 4000.

i ended up picking up the orbit cause it had motor controls/face following, but wouldnt recommend it too much.
